Summary

This study tests a 'Food as Medicine' program for 250 Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander adults with high blood pressure and food insecurity. Participants receive $100 per month for fruits and vegetables for one year. Half also get one-on-one support from a community health worker to help overcome barriers like transportation or cooking skills. The goal is to see if the extra support leads to better blood pressure control and is cost-effective.
