First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether a probiotic supplement containing Bifidobacterium longum can help overweight or obese children aged 3 to 14 improve their body mass index (BMI). Sixty children will receive either the probiotic or a placebo for 8 weeks, along with lifestyle advice. Researchers will also check changes in gut bacteria to see if probiotics affect the microbiome.
