First seen Jan 17, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tests whether a common probiotic, Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG (LGG), can reduce stomach issues like constipation and diarrhea in children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). About 50 children aged 4 to 12 with both ASD and ongoing stomach problems will receive the probiotic or a placebo. The goal is to see if improving gut health can ease these digestive symptoms.
