First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tests whether a specially selected probiotic called LR607 can help control inflammation in people with mild-to-moderate ulcerative colitis (a type of IBD). The probiotic is designed to boost a natural gut pathway (NOD2) that is often faulty in IBD. About 300 participants will take either LR607 or a placebo alongside their usual treatment, and researchers will track changes in symptoms, gut bacteria, and inflammation over three months.
