Gut bacteria pill tested for common stomach troubles
NCT ID NCT07484412
Summary
This study is testing whether a specific probiotic (a 'good' bacteria called Bifidobacterium longum BBH016) can help ease common lower gut symptoms like abdominal pain, diarrhea, and bloating. 88 adults with these symptoms will take either the probiotic capsules or a placebo (a dummy pill) for 8 weeks. Researchers will compare how much symptoms improve between the two groups and check for any side effects.
