Summary
This study is testing whether a daily probiotic/prebiotic supplement can help slow bone loss in women aged 60 and older. Researchers will compare the supplement against a placebo in 220 women over 18 months to see if it improves bone density and strength. The study focuses on dietary management rather than medication for women who have chosen not to take standard osteoporosis drugs.
