Summary
This study tests whether taking a daily probiotic supplement can help people with bipolar depression stay well after a hospital stay. Researchers will compare those taking the probiotic to those taking a placebo to see if it reduces the chance of needing to go back to the hospital. The study involves 80 adults aged 18-65 who were recently hospitalized for bipolar depression.
