Probation officers step in to fight teen drug abuse

Summary
This study tested a new way to help teens in the justice system who struggle with drug use. Researchers trained juvenile probation officers to deliver a proven reward-based treatment program during their regular meetings with teens. The goal was to see if this approach could reduce drug use, criminal activity, and risky behaviors in this high-risk group.
