Summary
This study looked at whether juvenile probation officers can deliver a behavioral program called Contingency Management to teens on their caseload who have drug problems. The program uses rewards and counseling to encourage teens to stop using drugs. Researchers measured drug use through urine tests and self-reports over 9 months. The goal was to see if this approach works when delivered by probation officers instead of traditional therapists.
