What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

hybrid dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)

What this could lead to

If it works, this could help veterans maintain progress and avoid relapse of PTSD and emotion regulation problems after intensive treatment.

What could go wrong

This is a very small early study with only 24 participants, so results may not apply broadly. The intervention is an add-on to existing care, and benefits may be modest.
