NCT ID NCT07377799
First seen Jan 30, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study will use a small device implanted under the skin to continuously monitor the heart rhythm of 100 people with moderate-to-severe mitral valve regurgitation (a leaky heart valve) who have few or no symptoms. The goal is to find out how often hidden atrial fibrillation (a type of irregular heartbeat) occurs in these patients over three years. Participants will be followed to see if those with detected irregular rhythms have a higher risk of health problems.
