New program aims to protect Seniors' minds and hearts after surgery
NCT ID NCT06042413
Summary
This study aims to prevent serious complications after major heart and vascular surgery in adults 65 and older. Researchers will test whether personalized pre-surgery training (including physical exercise, brain games, and social support) and special monitoring during surgery can reduce problems like confusion, memory decline, heart attacks, and death. The study will enroll 1,200 high-risk patients to compare these approaches against standard care.
