First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tested whether giving an antibiotic (clindamycin) to pregnant women with bacterial vaginosis before 13 weeks could lower the chance of very early delivery. Over 3,000 women took part. The goal was to see if treating this infection early could prevent late miscarriages and very preterm births.
