NCT ID NCT07202455

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study tests whether a gentle brain stimulation technique called tDCS, combined with standard rehabilitation, can prevent the development of chronic pain after a stroke. Researchers will enroll 60 stroke survivors who are at high risk for pain and give half of them real stimulation and half a sham treatment. The goal is to see if early intervention can stop neuropathic pain from ever starting.
