Protein shakes vs. water limits: new fight against Post-Surgery danger
NCT ID NCT07273630
Summary
This study is testing two simple methods to prevent low sodium levels, a common and potentially serious complication after pituitary gland surgery. Researchers want to see if having patients drink protein supplements or strictly limit their fluid intake for a few days after surgery is better than standard care at keeping sodium stable. The goal is to find a better way to prevent this problem and improve recovery.
