Ultrasound-Guided fluids may shield elderly heart patients from surgery danger

Summary

This study tests whether giving fluids right after spinal anesthesia, guided by ultrasound, can prevent dangerous drops in blood pressure in elderly patients with heart disease and dehydration. About 60 participants with mild heart failure and signs of dehydration will be enrolled. The goal is to find a simple way to make surgery safer for this vulnerable group.
