Cream or cleanser? study seeks best way to stop C-Section infections

Summary

This study tests whether applying a clindamycin cream or a povidone-iodine wash inside the vagina before a planned C-section better prevents wound infections afterward. About 150 healthy pregnant women between 37 and 40 weeks will take part. The goal is to find which method is more effective at reducing surgical site infections.
