First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looked at whether giving antibiotics for a shorter time before wisdom tooth removal can still prevent infections. 70 healthy adults having both lower wisdom teeth taken out received either a single dose or multiple doses of IV ampicillin. The main goal was to see how many people got a surgical site infection within 30 days after surgery.
