New device aims to stop ugly scars after Gender-Affirming mastectomy

Summary

This study tests a device called Brijjit® to see if it can prevent thick, raised scars (hypertrophic scars) after gender-affirming double incision mastectomy. About 78 people will take part, and each person will use the device on one side of their chest while the other side serves as a comparison. The goal is to improve scar appearance and patient satisfaction.
