First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study compares two ways to prevent long-term pain after breast cancer surgery: a nerve block (Pecs block) plus ketamine versus ketamine alone. About 120 women having mastectomy will be followed for 6 months to see which approach reduces chronic pain better. The goal is to find a more effective method to stop short-term surgical pain from turning into a lasting problem.
