New solution tested to shield sick kids from dangerous infections
NCT ID NCT05781295
Summary
This study is testing if a special solution called taurolidine can prevent infections in the catheters used by children and young adults with cancer. Researchers will compare it to a standard saline solution to see which one better stops germs from growing inside the catheter. The goal is to keep these essential medical devices safer, reducing complications and hospital stays for young patients.
