Summary
This study tests a surgical technique to prevent arm swelling (lymphedema) in breast cancer patients at high risk. During standard breast cancer surgery, doctors will move a small piece of tissue from the chest wall to the armpit to help fluid drain properly. 100 women with a higher body mass index who will also need radiation therapy will be followed for 2 years to see if this method reduces the risk of arm swelling.
