New radiation method aims to ease lung cancer symptoms with fewer side effects

Summary

This study compares standard palliative radiation for lung tumors with a newer technique that delivers a higher dose while sparing the esophagus. The goal is to improve or maintain quality of life by reducing side effects and prolonging survival. About 141 adults with lung cancer needing symptom relief will participate.
