New scale aims to prevent pressure sores in wheelchair users

NCT ID NCT07280923

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study is testing a new questionnaire called the Pressure Relief Frequency Scale (PReFS) to see if it can reliably help wheelchair users with neurologic disorders (like spinal cord injury, stroke, or traumatic brain injury) decide how often they need to relieve pressure to prevent sores. Researchers will interview 15 participants for about 10 minutes to check the tool's accuracy. The goal is to improve daily care recommendations, not to treat or cure any disease.
