Summary
This study tested whether a 3-week home exercise program before lung cancer surgery could help patients recover more quickly. 90 patients with lung cancer and COPD were split into two groups: one received only chest physiotherapy, the other added home exercise training. Researchers measured hospital stay length and complication rates to see if the extra exercise made a difference.
