First seen May 06, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study looks back at medical records of 46,000 diabetic patients who had surgery in Alberta, Canada. Researchers want to see how many had their blood sugar control (HbA1C) checked before surgery and whether poor control leads to more complications or longer hospital stays. The goal is to understand current practices and improve care for diabetic patients going into surgery.
