First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether a program of targeted exercise and psychological support before cancer treatment (called prehabilitation) can help patients with solid tumors recover better physically and emotionally. Researchers will compare this program to standard care in 125 adults with breast cancer or other solid tumors. The main goal is to see if prehabilitation improves walking ability, strength, and quality of life after surgery or radiation.

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- targeted exercise and psycho-oncological support program
- What this could lead to
- If it works, this could show that a pre-treatment program of exercise and counseling helps cancer patients recover faster and feel better after surgery or radiation.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small, early-stage study with only 125 participants, so results may not apply to all patients. The program requires time and effort, and some patients may not benefit.
