Teaching Moms-to-Be healthy habits may shield kids from obesity
NCT ID NCT00804765
Summary
This study tested whether providing education about healthy eating and modest exercise to overweight or obese pregnant women could help prevent rapid weight gain in their children during the first two years of life. Researchers compared women who received this special education program to those who received standard pregnancy care. They followed the mothers and children for two years to see if the education made a difference in the child's growth patterns and weight.
