NCT ID NCT01648855

First seen Mar 09, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study examined 33 preterm babies born before 30 weeks to mothers with preeclampsia, a pregnancy complication. Researchers measured certain proteins in the mother's blood, umbilical cord blood, and amniotic fluid to see if they were linked to a lung condition called bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD). The goal was to better understand how these proteins might affect lung development in growth-restricted preterm infants.
