NCT ID NCT06294808
First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study looked at over 1,000 patients who had surgery for liver cancer (HCC) to better predict survival. Researchers used a 'metro ticket' approach combining tumor size, number of tumors, and a blood marker (AFP) to estimate 5-year survival. They also compared outcomes between open and laparoscopic surgery, and between viral and non-viral causes of liver cancer. The goal is to help doctors choose the best candidates for surgery.
