First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study is testing a new method called Pancreatic Quantitative Sensory Testing (P-QST) to see if it can predict which patients with chronic pancreatitis will get pain relief from procedures like endoscopy or surgery. About 150 adults with chronic pancreatitis will take the test before their procedure and report their pain levels for 6 months afterward. The goal is to help doctors choose the best treatment for each patient's pain.
