Blood test may predict which seniors end up in the ER
NCT ID NCT07259499
Summary
This study aims to see if a simple blood test and brain scan results can predict which frail, elderly patients who need help with daily activities will visit the emergency room within six months. Researchers will measure a protein linked to Alzheimer's disease in the blood and assess blood vessel damage in the brain from recent scans. The goal is to identify risk factors to help doctors better care for vulnerable older adults.
