First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study is looking at whether certain proteins in the blood can help predict if older adults with diabetes will become confused after surgery. Researchers will measure these proteins before surgery and then check patients for confusion for three days after. The goal is to find a way to identify those at higher risk, so doctors can take steps to prevent it.
