NCT ID NCT05408728

ENROLLING_BY_INVITATION Knowledge-focused Sponsor: Mayo Clinic Source: ClinicalTrials.gov ↗

Summary

This study aims to see if a person's ability to absorb sugar in their gut can predict how much weight they will lose after bariatric surgery. Researchers will enroll 52 people, including those scheduled for surgery and healthy individuals, to measure sugar absorption and related gene changes. The goal is to gather knowledge that could help personalize treatment plans, not to provide a direct treatment benefit.
