First seen Apr 06, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study reviewed medical records of 901 infants who had surgery for a narrowed aorta (coarctation) before their first birthday. Researchers wanted to find out how many later developed high blood pressure or a re-narrowing of the aorta. The goal was to better understand long-term risks after early heart surgery.
