First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tests a personalized approach to treat obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) in people with Down syndrome. Researchers will compare giving everyone the same drug combination (atomoxetine and oxybutynin) versus assigning either that drug or oxygen therapy based on each person's specific cause of OSA. The goal is to improve sleep, quality of life, and thinking abilities in 200 children and adults over 12 months.
