Scientists hunt Cancer's genetic blueprint to match patients with best drugs

NCT ID NCT02735252

Summary

This study aims to understand why some cancer treatments work for certain patients but not others. Researchers will collect tumor tissue and blood samples from 156 people with advanced prostate, kidney, or bladder cancer who are about to start a new treatment. By analyzing the genetic makeup of the tumors, they hope to find patterns that can predict which patients will benefit most from specific therapies like immunotherapy or targeted drugs.
