Personalized blood thinners could cut stroke risk

NCT ID NCT06269432

First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether using a blood test to guide antiplatelet medication can reduce the risk of a second stroke. People who have had a non-cardioembolic ischemic stroke and are already taking aspirin will be assigned to either continue standard aspirin or switch to a different antiplatelet drug based on their test results. The goal is to see if personalized treatment lowers the rate of blood clot-related events within 30 days.
