First seen Feb 19, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study tests whether doing physiotherapy and mechanical stimulation before breast reconstruction surgery can reduce shoulder pain and improve movement afterward. About 72 women scheduled for a latissimus dorsi flap reconstruction will take part. Half will receive the pre-surgery therapy, and the other half will get standard care. The goal is to see if preparing the tissues beforehand leads to better recovery.
