Summary

This study tests whether an 8-week power wheelchair training program using the IndieTrainer system can help children with severe cerebral palsy improve their wheelchair skills and independence. Sixteen children who cannot walk or propel a manual wheelchair will participate. The training uses video games and a device that turns a manual wheelchair into a powered one, allowing kids to use their own seating system.
