First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tested a new powered knee (Power Knee) in 17 people with leg amputations to see if it makes walking less tiring than standard microprocessor knees. Participants walked, climbed stairs, and did daily tasks with both knees to compare effort and mobility. The goal was to improve comfort and ease of movement for active amputees.
