First seen Jan 26, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study looked at whether adding specific postural exercises to standard mouthguard therapy can better reduce pain and improve jaw movement in people with internal temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders. Fifty-seven adults were split into three groups: one received only a mouthguard, another added Rocabado exercises, and the third added general postural exercises. After two months, researchers compared pain levels, jaw motion, and neck function to find the most effective combination.
