First seen Mar 23, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study is for people with advanced head and neck cancer who are starting a standard immunotherapy drug called pembrolizumab. Researchers want to see if adding a special supplement called a postbiotic can reduce side effects and improve how the body responds to treatment. About 45 participants will receive either the postbiotic or a placebo for 4 cycles, and their gut and mouth bacteria will be monitored.
