What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

What this could lead to

If it works, this could offer a simple, non-drug way to improve gut health and behavior in children with autism.

What could go wrong

This is an early-phase study with only 90 children, and the supplement may not work better than no treatment. Results may not apply to all children with autism.
