NCT ID NCT07235423

First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study follows 120 adults who had a stroke and underwent a procedure to remove a blood clot from a large brain artery. Researchers will test their thinking and memory at 3 and 6 months after the procedure. The goal is to find out which patients are more likely to develop cognitive problems and what factors might predict this.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

What this could lead to
If successful, this study could help doctors predict which stroke patients are at higher risk for cognitive decline after clot removal, leading to better follow-up care.
What could go wrong
This is an observational study, not a treatment trial, so it won't directly improve outcomes. It may also be too small to draw firm conclusions.
