First seen Mar 04, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study looked at 319 adults with severe lung failure (ARDS) who were placed on their stomachs to help breathing. Researchers wanted to see if giving nutrition through a tube placed deeper in the gut (post-pyloric) reduced feeding problems compared to standard stomach feeding. The goal was to find better ways to support recovery in intensive care.
