New combo drugs aim to stop breast surgery pain

Summary
This study tests whether adding amantadine or duloxetine to the standard pain drug pregabalin can prevent chronic pain after mastectomy. About 150 women having breast cancer surgery will be randomly assigned to one of three drug combinations. The goal is to see if these extra medications reduce the chance of developing long-term pain and improve quality of life.
