Summary
This study tested a special support program for veterans who have both bipolar disorder and substance use problems after they leave the hospital. 138 veterans took part, with half receiving the new program and half getting extra safety monitoring, both added to their usual care. The goal was to see if the program helps them stick to their medication and manage their conditions better.
