Can happiness exercises slow down dementia? new study investigates
NCT ID NCT07289061
Summary
This study is testing whether a free, online group program focused on building positive emotions and strengths can help improve memory and brain function in older adults who are noticing early signs of cognitive decline. About 128 participants with either subjective memory complaints or mild cognitive impairment will be randomly assigned to either join the 16-week program or continue with their usual care. Researchers will measure changes in thinking skills, brain activity, and overall wellbeing to see if the program helps slow decline, with follow-up checks nine months later.
