Summary

This study follows 1500 people with cirrhosis and varices who also have a blood clot in the portal vein (the main vein to the liver). Researchers will track who gets better and what factors help the clot dissolve over 1 to 5 years. The goal is to better understand the disease and guide future care, not to test a new treatment.
