Bedside brain scanner could speed up injury detection in kids

NCT ID NCT07577336

First seen May 13, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study will test a small, portable MRI machine to see how well it can detect brain injuries from lack of oxygen or blood flow in children. About 200 children in intensive care will get both a portable and a standard MRI. The goal is to find out if the portable version can accurately spot injuries, which could allow faster, bedside diagnosis without moving the child.
